Our 1st Christmas

These are pictures from our own Christmas present opening. We did it a few days after the holiday. I got Todd's favorite poster framed. It was so funny because I had hidden it and then put a small note in another box (something that we got for our wedding) to ask for the real present. He looked at the box and didn't think it was what it said it was. When he opened it up and realized that it really was he looked confused. Then he saw the note. When I brought it out and he opened it up he was pretty excited. We both had a great first Christmas together.

Christmas Pictures

These are pictures from Christmas Day in Maine. I'd just like to point out who else was wearing red. :) We had lots of fun and we were blessed with so many wonderful gifts. Something funny about the present that Heidi and Albert are opening from Gram (it's a neck pillow), is that Heidi got the exact same present for Albert. So now they each have their own!

Kitchen and Sewing

These are pictures of our kitchen. On the counter is our beautiful new Kitchen Aid mixer. I already used it this week. It was so fun. It was on back order so we've been waiting for it for a little while. Thanks to Mum and Dad Dow for their generous gift to us. That's how our kitchen table looks when I'm sewing. I hope that someday I will get to have my own sewing room so I don't have to put it away all the time. Todd would also appreciate it if we could use our kitchen table all of the time. That is a blanket I'm working on for Megan's baby. I started a tradition with my first nephew that I don't think my sisters will ever let me stop of making baby blankets for each one.

Todd's Present to Me

So because of my long week, Todd decided to splurge and by me 18 roses. I was very flattered by his sweet thoughtfulness. This is a picture of our living room with our very bare walls. The landlord won't let us use nails in the wall, so we've had a hard time only being able to use 3M hooks and picture hangers. My flowers are on the TV stand.

Our Home

So I decided to put a few pictures on because I finally figured it out and I got out the digital camera. Here is a picture of our finally clean office/spare bedroom. It has been filled with wedding and Christmas presents and a lot of other junk. Last Saturday I finally cleaned it out as a surprise for Todd. He didn't realize I could do it so fast.

A long week

Well it has been a very long week for me, I had parent teacher conferences this week and so that means I was at school for 12 hours on Wednesday and Thursday. Of course Todd got off of work at 1:00 on Thursday afternoon so it made that day even worse. But then on Friday night we went out to visit Justin and Rheanna. It was fun and Payton looked so much better than the last time we saw her. She actually was giggling and playing with us. Hyrum and Payton wanted me to be their horse for awhile, it was fun trying to get Payton on after Hyrum because she can't really reach, even my short distance. When they were finally both on it was really interesting trying to keep them on because Payton doesn't quite understand the concept of holding on yet. It was fun though.
My sister Alisha is about to have her baby anytime now. I'm so excited to have my third neice/nephew from that side. And then I'll have my fourth pretty soon after that. It's been pretty cool to have two sisters pregnant at the same time. Megan is pretty ready to be done now, but she still has about 2 more months.
My neice Gracee has decided she likes to talk on the phone, however whenever I talk to her it always consists of a lot of silence on her end and a lot of "hi"s.
Todd decided not to go to school this semester so we are going to work really hard on being prepared for it this summer.
I hope everyone is well and we love you all.

Sunday

Well today was my first Sunday in my new calling as a Primary Worker. It is kind of interesting to have two teachers in the nursery with one little girl. She is our whole primary. The Bishop calls her the celebrity of the ward. Todd and I agree since she is the only one who has 4 teachers all to herself. But she is very cute and we had fun today. Todd finally got a home teaching assignment and he was very excited because he has been wanting one since we have started in our ward.

January 12, 2007

Well a new year to start a new life. Todd and I have loved being married and we are both having so much fun getting to know one another's families. Thanksgiving in Iowa and Christmas in Maine were both very fun.
