Stake Conference

Last night and today we had stake conference. Because of our Stake Presidency being released and a new presidency being called we had the great opportunity of having Elder L. Tom Perry at our conference. For the Sunday session we decided we wanted to be there early in order to be close enough to see well. We were very glad of our decision when we saw Elder Perry walking around shaking hands with those already there. We were one of the lucky couples who got to shake his hand and got to speak with him for just a moment. It was a special experience for us both. Especially me since it is the first time I've had the opportunity to shake an apostle's hand. We had a great conference too.

Can't Believe It

On Saturday and Sunday we had beautiful weather. It was somewhere in the 50's and the sun was out shining. Then on Monday morning we awoke to this. What a turn around.

A New Family Member

Todd and I found out that we have a new nephew on Thursday night. We got a call a little after 11 our time from my sister Alisha. Ian Clark Thompson was born at 11:51 on February 15th. The top picture is the whole family. Brody and Gracee are growing up so much. I can't believe how different they look since the last time I saw them. I can't wait until I get to see everyone again. Loves and Kisses to all of you.

Gigi

So here is our weekend pet. He is actually my classroom pet, but for various reasons, I brought him home this weekend. He was given to the class from one of my students and he's been pretty fun. But I think I'm going to have to give him back because he isn't doing so well in the classroom environment. I don't think turtles this size are supposed to be in an aquarium anyway.

Nice week

Well Todd and I have had a pretty good week. We went to the temple on Thursday and then our ward had pizza at Pier 49. Where we found out that our Bishop is the founder of Pier 49 pizza. No wonder we got free pizza for our whole ward and we got to be at the store after it closed. Here are pictures of us today, just to say hi. Todd started a new workout program with two of his coworkers so he gets to leave the house at 5:30 am now, while I get to sleep. It's pretty nice for a change. We did a little dream shopping yesterday. We went and looked at Vespas (the BMW of the scooter world) and we looked at some pretty nice model homes. Todd and I really want a nice CHEAP scooter so we can use it for short distances and as a "second car". I also got to use the long board yesterday, it was really nice here during the day. Todd was sad because the weather turned bad before he got to go. Hope you are all doing well, we are very grateful for all of you.

Fasting Sunday

So I know there aren't pretty pictures or even cute ones to put on here (Todd and I really haven't changed much or done anything cute lately) but I decided I wanted to add to our blog at least once a week. We have set up a great schedule on our monthly calendar and we are so excited about our goals to become debt free and to also set up a "baby fund"/savings plan. We have done really well this week and plan to keep doing so well. Wednesday was a busy day, with my visiting teachers coming over, Todd going home teaching, and our bishopric counselors coming over. On Saturday Eric came over to do our taxes. We were very grateful for his services. And we even remembered to fast on the right Sunday.
