First Day

Well today I started with the kids back to school. It was a very "interesting" day. I can honestly say I've never had a worse day in my teaching career. I was going to go on and explain about it, but then I thought about how I would feel on the opposite side of things. So, I guess you just get to wonder and maybe someday in person I will explain. On the bright side of things I have some very cute kids in my class. I hope that the year goes well and I never have a day like today again.

The Sounds They Make

Linc has started making some pretty funny sounds. I was trying to catch them on camera for all to hear. He also likes to make bubbles and slobber a lot - makes for nice wet clothing.

Kenna

Well Kenna is pretty funny to watch. She loves Linc and loves his toys. When she came over the other night she was playing with his "ocean wonders" toy and I had to snap a pic. She got up before I could get one that wasn't blurry, but oh well cute as a button anyway. Her shirt is off because she had just been eating. If any of you know her, you know that her food tends to go everywhere.

I decided that I'm going to try and take some pictures of Linc every month to show his growth. Here are a few of the ones I love.

Abram

Ivy went to her sister's wedding this week and so we got to have Abe hang out at our house for a few days. He was so fun. Todd and Abe even went swimming and on lots of bike rides. Abe liked to hang out with Lincoln, although he couldn't remember if it was Alec or Nathan or Lincoln. Someday he will get all the names right.

Lake Powell

Well the first week of August Todd and I went to Lake Powell with my family. Megan's in-laws own a house boat down there that we got to stay on. It had five bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a nice kitchen/living area. We had so much fun. We swam, we rode the molecule (ask us sometime), we wakeboarded (well I did anyway), we kneeboarded, we played games, and just generally relaxed. I can honestly say it was the most "vacation" vacation I've ever had. I loved it and so did Todd.
Here is the houseboat we stayed on. Up on top there is a slide that has a drop off of about 15 feet. I only went on it once. I'm not one for heights. The boat was nice because it had air conditioning, although it didn't work a few times which made it pretty hot. As long as it was during the day we could just jump in the lake though. We also had a pontoon boat and two wave runners. Todd liked to ride around on the wave runners and one time I knocked us both off and made Todd lose his sunglasses. He was pretty sad about that.

Here is Gracee, my mom, Chad, and Alisha eating at one of the many wonderful meals we had. Chris and Levor totally spoiled us with food. We had so many good things to eat - my favorite were the breakfasts. I love breakfast food, especially pancakes, yummy.

First Haircut

Well Lincoln's hair has grown pretty long (on the top anyway, the sides are losing hair). So we decided it was time for a haircut since his hair was to long to stay in a mohawk. Here are the results.
