George!

Lincoln and his Curious George. He sleeps with him and carries him around as much as he can. He also got the movie and loves both.
I'll post pictures about the party with friends and family soon.

Linc's Birthday

Lincoln turned 2! Here he is on the night of his birthday opening a few presents with just me, Todd, and Mercedes. Todd and I got him a lot of clothes because that is what he needed for the summer. He really loves opening presents, so we decided it would just fine to wrap them all.

He found a little sticker with McQueen on it.
Here he is opening his Curious George. He loves George right now. I thought there was a picture of him with it on here, but I guess it didn't make it.

Confessions of a 2 - year - old

Lincoln is so crazy sometimes. I love his little personality. It is so goofy and sweet at the same time.
He is constantly doing things that either make me laugh or drive me crazy.
He loves to sing! He also likes to perform for anyone who will watch and pay attention. Singing and dancing are his specialities.
He is such a picky eater. Sometimes he will only eat fruit for a meal or he will only drink milk. Sometimes on rare occasions he will eat what we eat for a meal and eat a lot of it. This is why my boy is so skinny. We love him so much.
This is the cute hat that Aunt Alisha got him for his birthday. He loves hats and Lightning McQueen so a perfect combo. What a cute little face.

2 weeks and counting

Here are a few pictures of my sweet girl over the past few weeks. I can't believe how the time has flown. I haven't taken her to the doctor yet because I'm waiting for my doctor to get back into town. So updates on her stats will be coming soon.

She looks like Lincoln to me sometimes and then other times I think she has her own very distinct look.
I absolutely love how she fell asleep with her hands up over her ears and then pulled her bow down over her face. So stinking cute.

Brother Love

Lincoln absolutely loves Mercedes. He thinks she is cute and he talks about 'baybee' all the time. He hasn't quite mastered the issue of being too close yet. But he does love to give her kisses. We have noticed a little acting up, but not too terrible. It's probably a combo of the terrible two's and having his life drastically changed.

After enjoying the 100% total care of the hospital (including as much food and dessert as I wanted) we took our little girl home on May 15. Here she is in her first real outfit. I had some very cute outfits that were either too big or too summerish. It was a little chilly that day. So she is in a cute set of jammies with her bumblebee bows.
The first time in a carseat. I can't believe how tiny she looks and how light she is to carry around in that thing.
I love her hands and how they are always by her face.

Wow!

It was so much easier the second time!!! Here is my beautiful girl Mercedes (or Cedes as Lincoln and I will probably call her.) She was born after 1 push (I hope you read that right) at 3:50 pm yesterday. 7lbs 15 oz, 21 inches long, and a little bit of hair. Lincoln had more hair than her, but I'm still glad she has some. What a beauty.
The first family pic. Lincoln got up on my lap and when Todd showed him Mercedes he knew exactly who she was. He pulled her to him, gave her a kiss and then pushed her away. He was down and ready to explore - after talking about my owie (IV).
Here she is a few minutes after birth.

Rambling

Well today has been a particularly annoying day. I woke up with some great intentions of cleaning in my laundry room. I really need to organize the shelves in there, they have become a great catch-all and I'm tired of it. Or maybe just nesting. However, as I cleaned up the breakfast dishes I realized that I was beginning to feel like I couldn't breathe. Wow, this little girl can sometimes get so far up into my lungs that I just have to lie down. Which is what I've been doing - ALL DAY. It really stinks when you actually want to do something, but can't. Why can't this happen on a day when all I really want to do is lie around doing nothing. Especially when Lincoln says to me "I nugul you". (I snuggle you). He really is getting to be a great snuggler. I LOVE it. On other news I am being induced on Thursday. YES! So I really am trying to just enjoy my time with my little Lincoln because in hopefully less than 48 hours he will be a big brother and will have to compete for our attention. I still am sad for the transition that he has to make, it's probably just my pregnancy hormones. I do have one last belly shot to post on here, so watch for that soon. Here's to being a mom of two.

Finally Figured It Out

Can you tell that I have finally figured out a few things on Picasa? I love this collage feature. I got ten pictures in this blog, but it only looks like two. How fantastic is that when you can't decide what pictures you actually want to post. These pics are from a day at the park. We had fun sliding, swinging, playing Bocce (Bocci), and eating lots of good food prepared by Mum. We grilled out with our grill and I got to do the grilling because Todd doesn't feel adequately trained in that area yet. The little ones loved the balls and were glad to run out and get them for us. It was quite nice to stand in the shade to throw them and then have one of the kids go get the balls. We definitely had fun.

Perspective

I really wanted to show a few pictures from Arches, but couldn't decide on which ones because of my sisters-in-law already both blogging about it. So I decided to show these two pictures. They are basically the same shot, but the first is to show how far up the boys really took the little ones, and the second is to show their faces so that we know who it was. I love the zoom on my new camera.
We had a really fun time down in the Arches. I was definitely glad that I had stayed in a hotel for the night though. Being 36 weeks pregnant wasn't exactly a great incentive for me to go camping, especially without the needed gear. It probably would have been more expensive to buy a tent and sleeping bags. We only have one and it's not that great. I know that we need to get some things because it really would be nice to be prepared, but it's just not something that has been high on our list yet. I just wanted to also say thank you to everyone for being patient with the slow pregnant lady. I didn't do every hike, but the ones that I did do were beautiful and I know that I definitely took a little longer than everyone else.
