Answer

By the way, in answer to the question that I posed here Mercedes is the top one and Lincoln is the bottom one. Most people got it right.

Just Because

Mercedes is still not loving tummy time, but she has gotten really good at pushing herself up and lifting her head. She has even rolled over from front to back a couple of times. I wish I could tell her to stop growing so fast. The only thing I wish she was doing that she isn't right now, is sleeping through the night, or even in 4 hour stretches would be nice. She usually does those during the day or right when she first goes down at night from 7 - 11. So I don't get much enjoyment out of them. She will sleep all night, she just wakes up every 2-3 hours still.

My two little munchkins. Lincoln really loves his little sister. He is constantly saying, "Linky's Cedes".
Linc is really growing up. He is starting to say his own prayers now, most of it is jibberish, but he has to say it by himself. If you try to help him, he will point at you and say "I say it" with a very stern voice. It makes me want to laugh. He's also into pretending a lot lately. He'll pretend he has a phone in his pretend pocket and call people like Papa, Mimi, Daddy, Grammy, Grampy and anyone else he can think of. He also likes to pretend that there is a lion coming to get us and we need to hide from it. But if I get to into it with him, he gets a little scared and says "No lion". It is so funny.

2 monkeys

Last year for Halloween Lincoln was a monkey. This outfit has since been in storage and Lincoln has since fallen in love with Curious George. The other day I was putting all of Lincoln's old clothes into those bags that you can vaccum out the air and we found this costume. Lincoln wanted to put it on and be a monkey. So we took pictures of these two friends. It was dang cute.

Pool

As noted before, Linc loves the water. So I wanted to buy him a little pool to use this summer. Todd talked me out of the hard ones because we can't leave it on our lawn to kill the grass. Having to empty it every time we fill it would make cracks in it, so I found this awesome blow-up one for $7 at Wal-mart. Best $7 I have spent in awhile. He loves it. He loves being outside and this has made it easier for me to let him go outside because I know he isn't going to be quite so hot.

Splashing is a favorite activity. Not one of mine, but he sure likes it.
Cedes and I like to hang out and watch from the shady area. It's reasonable from there.

Firecrackers

We had a few firecrackers from when Todd did the firework tent 2 years ago, so we thought it would be fun to show them to Lincoln. We can't decide if he really liked them or not. He had this pretty concerned look on his face when he was watching them. Love this face.

She likes to stick out her tongue sometimes, I'm surprised I actually got it on camera.

Sprinklers

Lincoln loves the water, he does not however love sprinklers. On July 5th we went to Eric and Mandy's house to have a bbq filled with lovely food. The kids all got in the sprinklers except for the baby girls. Nathan and Lincoln had a little harder time getting used to it, but by the end were having a delightful time.
Eric trying to convince Nathan that a sprinkler really is fun.
He was running toward the water and when it started to hit him he promptly turned around.
Lincoln is holding up the slide line because he's trying to get off so he doesn't get hit with the water.
By the end Nathan thought the sprinkler was okay.

The Food of Summer

The other day I babysat for Megan and Jim and decided to take the kiddos outside to eat popsicles. The kids loved it. These are real fruit popsicles and let me just tell you that the strawberry ones are delicious. They are perfect for summer time heat.
I think that Porter was the only one to actually finish his popsicle. There was no way I was getting the stick from him until it was all gone.
McKenna kept pulling these funny faces when I was trying to get pictures of just her. She's so funny.
That's about what his popsicle looked like when he was finished as well. He's such a silly boy.

Bubbles

If there's anything Lincoln loves more than water it is bubbles. He particularly loves playing with his bubble mower that Aunt Megan and fam gave him for his birthday. This particular time he was trying to blow them himself. All of the bubble water ended up on him and the tramp however.

He actually kissed it more than blew into the wand.
What a cutie. Well there I have finally done all of the updates about Iowa. Now I have a few more from the past couple of weeks and then we should be good.

Mozingo 3

Lincoln really liked riding on the tube. I even let him ride it with no adult supervision. He did really well. Gracee and Dylan were having a great time too.
Here is my dad's boat. He got a new umbrella thing and a cover for it this year. It was really nice to have shade.
Happy as a lark when there's water around.
Cute Bella with her wind blown hair. She looks like a villian from some movie that I can't think of.

Mozingo 2

Most of the kids. Brody, Gracee, Hailee, Emma, McKenna, Lincoln, Ian, and Dylan. Trying to play Sorry.
Brody turned 7 while we were down there so we celebrated with a nice dirtbike track cake. My Mom did a great job.
Trying to get a sibling picture.
Ian wasn't too happy on this ride.

Mozingo

Every summer my parents and all of my siblings that can head down to a lake in Missouri called Lake Mozingo. We have a lot of fun boating, playing games and rounding up all the kids. This year we had 8 adults and 11 children - all under the age of 7. It made for a lot of craziness. It was fun though.
The oldest grandchild and my mom. Swimming in the lake was something we did a lot because it was pretty stinkin' hot and humid while we were there.
Brother-in-law Chad holding Mercedes. He told me when I first got there that he wouldn't hold her because he didn't want to get baby hungry. He says that he's all done having kids after 4. Well look what he is doing - and smiling about it.
Lincoln would have been happy to do this the whole time.
He wasn't quite sure what he thought of the water. After we played a bit he decided it was okay.
