Yes, I ran in an organized race. Crazy I know. I'm totally with Rheanna on this. I HATE to run. But I've really felt like it is something I should want to do so in July I signed Todd and I up for a 6k. It was the Racing Cane race. It benefits children who don't have shoes. Anyway, I've been trying to "train" for it, but as always my good intentions weren't as good as they could have been. We started the race on Saturday September 18 at 8:00 am.
This is me about an hour after the race. I ran the race in about 48 min. A 6k is roughly 3.73 miles. Todd stayed with me for the first 1.2 miles and then went ahead of us. He ran it in 39 min. I walked about 1k total in the first 1.5 miles and ran/jogged the rest. I felt like I did pretty well considering my "great training". Also that I pushed this

in this the whole time. That's about an extra 80 pounds.
I don't think I've ever told you about this little beauty. It is my new love. It is the best double stroller ever, except that it can't fit into church doorways. That was a fun learning experience. Anyway this little love of mine has separate snack trays, canopies that move all by themselves, speakers for my iPod (my kids get to listen to Dr. Jean when we go on walks!), a parent tray, and the wheel in front swivels or locks in place. It is amazing. Oh I forgot, the handle also moves up and down so it is comfortable for a 6'1" person like Todd or a 5'0" person like me.
Last night Todd and I went to the temple. We are trying to make it a goal to go at least once a month so we are going to switch babysitting with our neighbors. But last night Bri came to hang out with our kids. Linc loves Bri and is still talking about her today.
When I asked Bri to take a picture of us, Lincoln didn't think it was nice of us to do without him so he snuck in here.

I had to include this picture because it totally exemplifies my children. So serious. They do know how to smile and have fun, but this is what they do a lot of the time.
This sweet little girl is now 4 months old. Wow, it really does go faster with the second child. She's been doing some fun things lately like grabbing all toys and putting them in her mouth. She has also figured out how to grab her toes. It is so cute. She rolls both ways, but hasn't quite figured out that she can move across the room this way yet. I'm grateful for that. Anyway for those of you interested here are the stats.
On Labor Day weekend our ward had their annual campout. Todd and I decided that it would be fun to take the kids and go. We bought a tent and a few other little things to make the stay a little more comfortable and then headed up to Maple Dell on Friday night. We had a good time. The only thing I would change about next time is definitely bring the pack-n-play. Cedes is so much more used to sleeping in her own bed than with us. It didn't get too cold either. We had a nice dinner and breakfast with the ward. It was coldest after we were sitting around for awhile at breakfast time. Luckily we already had everything packed up before breakfast so we left pretty soon after. These two kids decided that 10:00 pm to 6:00 am would be sufficient sleep. I really tried for a nap when we got home, but they weren't having that either. Oh well, we had fun, and now I know what I would do to make it better next time.
