Third Trimester

I have finally made it to the third trimester!!! People keep telling me it will go fast or it has gone fast, and I say - You don't have to live in this body. Anyone who has been pregnant can understand what I am saying. Here is my month 6 picture. I know I'm getting bigger. Don't worry everyone tells me...don't you love it.

Projects

On Wednesday of this week the Canyon was closed for snow removal and avalanche control so I got an unexpected day off. I chose to take the time to finish a few projects that I've been putting off. One was a blanket that I made for Todd - not shown, and the other was a baby blanket(right). Then on Saturday I had more time, so I made the other baby blanket in the picture (on the left). I always hear that you can never have enough baby blankets and I love making them, so it's been fun to add to my collection. I'm sure that there will be many more to come.

Baby Stuff and Big Belly

My belly is continuing to grow and grow and grow. Here is the latest picture, taken yesterday. I think it looks a little funny because Todd didn't get it from the right angle, but he thought it looked fine, so I posted it. So this is my 5 month picture. I don't think I'll have Mandy's problem of people not believing me when I'm 8 months pregnant. My belly also means that I'm really not fitting into much of my old clothes anymore so I got to go shopping and buy a lot of fun stuff today. Really cute, but I probably spent too much money. Todd said it was okay though!!! Hopefully, I'll last now until the end. (If I don't get too big...)

Here is our changing table/dresser. We have a crib that matches it, but my dad really wanted to put it together for us, so we are waiting until he visits in March.
Here are a few pictures of our stroller and carseat. You can see the pattern in the second picture. We also have the play yard that matches, but I had just taken it down when I thought about taking pictures and I didn't really want to put it together again.

New Hair Clippers

Well it's been a crazy week around our house. Last weekend Todd helped two people move and then on Sunday night he got sick. He's been sick all week and has missed quite a bit of work and school. I have been training for my online tutoring job that I will be starting soon, so I have been quite busy and tired. Then on Thursday night it all caught up with me and I got sick as well. But on Saturday Todd and I were tired of being cooped up and decided we wanted to buy some clippers so that I could learn to cut his hair. After going to the doctor (who didn't know what was wrong with Todd's throat) we went to Walmart and bought a Wahl. We both are feeling great today and we also both had the day off, it was quite refreshing to do nothing with Todd. I didn't get to try the clippers out until today. I've been nervous all weekend thinking about cutting Todd's hair. I decided that I would cut it a little longer than he usually does and then cut it shorter if it looked good. I only gave him one little bald spot behind his right ear and I think it looks okay. I keep looking to make sure that there aren't any long spots, but Todd keeps assuring me that it looks good. So we don't have a before picture, but this is Todd with his haircut.

You Decide

The doctor sent us home with this picture and the directions to decide what we thought. I'm giving you the chance to see what you think. Hopefully this comes up clear for everyone.

Christmas

Here are a few of the pictures we took on Christmas morning. Todd filled my stocking with lots of goodies. Sewing scissors, skittles, markers, a game, etc.
Todd and I both got Phase 10 dice for each other, it was pretty funny.
These are the presents from my parents.
For this picture I made Todd open up his eyes as much as possible. As we all know when the Dow boys smile, they tend to close their eyes. This was as good as it gets.

Todd and I had a good Christmas this year. Because we bought a video camera for ourselves this year, we decided that our budget for presents would be pretty small. Even with the tight budget we found some pretty good presents that were great for each other. We also got some good gifts from others. My mom and Dad got us a Book of Mormon for Latter-day Saint Families and Catch Phrase. Mum and Dad got us a gift card to Amazon which we bought the Lord of the Rings trilogy with. Gram bought us a board book for the baby. Between the two of us we got 12 puzzles - I'm very serious. Todd bought me a collection that has 10 puzzles in it.
