Cheyenne

Last week I made a hasty decision and went with my parents to Iowa. I decided on Saturday afternoon and we left on Sunday morning. I had a fun time with my parents and other family. The only horrible thing was the weather. It was hot and humid. I think the heat index was like 110 everyday. It totally sucked. Anyway to get the kids and I back to Utah my parents drove us to Cheyenne where we met Todd. We all went out to eat for dinner and then spent the night there. The next day we went to Sacrament meeting and then went to see the "Big Boy" train in a park. It was HUGE. It was one of 25 built and there are 8 left I think. Anyway Lincoln loved it. He wanted to get on it so bad, but of course it was fenced in. I can totally see why after seeing how big it is and what a liability it would be if someone got hurt.

My little boy is so stinkin cute!

Discovery Gateway

When my family was here a couple of weeks ago we decided to go to a few different fun places. Among them was Discovery Gateway. We had such a fun time there. There was a "room" where everything was in small size for the kids. Lincoln spent a ton of time in the kitchen. He loved it so much. He also loved the little grocery store and the little cars. All the kids could have spent days there. It was a great place for the adults to, we just had to sit and make sure we didn't lose the kids. It was a great time for talking and it definitely wore everyone out.

Cute little happy family.

One Big Happy Family

My family had the wonderful opportunity to all be together for a little mini reunion at the beginning of August. On the day of Mercedes' blessing we took that opportunity to take a family pic. Everyone is in this picture until baby Oldham is born in November. Love this crazy group of people!

A Special Day

On Sunday, August 1st, we blessed our sweet Mercedes. She did a wonderful job with no crying and no sounds. Todd used his priesthood well and gave our daughter a wonderful blessing. We had a lot of family here and it was a fun day to catch up. It was extremely hot though with a bit of humidity - not usual for Utah.
It was a great opportunity for some pictures.
What a sweet little family that I have!
She is such a beautiful baby if I do say so myself.

Bubbles and Circles

I'm not sure if I've mentioned before how much Lincoln loves bubbles. JK. Anyway, if I would let him that is all this kid would do. He loves blowing bubbles, dumping out bubbles, chasing bubbles, pushing his bubble mower, etc. Lincoln is really getting so smart. On Saturday night we were at a hotel and Lincoln points to the ceiling and says "syercle mom" (Circle). I was wondering what he was talking about but I just said okay and kept on changing his diaper. After he said it a few more times I looked up and there was a small plastic circle on the ceiling. He did this again in church on Sunday. It was so funny. I knew that he knew what a circle was on his placemat at home, but I did not know that he was able to point out other circles. I can't believe how big he is getting. He also loves to watch the Letter Factory movie and is starting to pick up on some of the sounds. I really need to be a better "teacher" and help him out a little.

Happy to Sad

I just had to post this sequence of pictures because it is so cute. I was trying to get pictures of Cedes smiling, because whenever I have my camera on her she stops smiling. Well this is what happens I guess.
Happy as a clam one second.

Okay, Mom you need to pick me up now I've had enough.

Answer

By the way, in answer to the question that I posed here Mercedes is the top one and Lincoln is the bottom one. Most people got it right.
